Actions : Bitter tonic, astringent, diaphoretic, anti-bacterial, expectorant

Constituents : Bitter glycoside, flavonoids, essential oil, mucilage

Indications : Increases flow of gastric and bile secretions; used in appetite loss, anorexia, dyspepsia, indigestion, colic, flatulence; diarrhea or hemorrhage; use externally as antiseptic or vulnerary.
